Upgraded One UI for Android Pie

One UI brings you Android Pie, with exciting new features and a whole new look and feel based on feedback from users in Samsung and Google.
We recommend that you back up your important data to keep it safe before the upgrade.
Some apps, including Calculator, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, Samsung Notes,Samsung Member, need to be updated individually after you update your OS.
To use the "Remote Unlock" function in "Find My Mobile" from the Android Pie OS, the screen lock password (or PIN, pattern) backup process is needed. So please be sure to remember the screen lock password (or PIN, pattern) before starting the update process. If you forget the password (or PIN, pattern), do reset it before starting the update process.

Here’s what’s new.

One UI
- Content, settings, and other information have been reorganized to keep you focused on the task at hand.
- Interactive elements have been moved to the bottom of the screen so they're always within reach.
- New designs and features such as Night mode help keep your eyes comfortable.

Notifications
- You can reply to messages directly in the notification panel.
- In an app's notification settings, tap the switch once to turn on or off all the notifications in a category.

Samsung Keyboard
- New Unicode 11.0 emojis are available.
- New adaptive theme changes your keyboard look based on the colors of the surrounding app.
- Floating keyboard is available in all apps and has new size and transparency settings.
- You can set a custom touch and hold delay.

Settings
- Menus have been reorganized to make settings easier to find.

Phone
- Your call history can include up to 2000 entries (increased from 500 entries).

Contacts
- The new drawer menu makes it easier to manage contacts from various accounts.

Camera
- selfmode delete manual beauty mode, add smart beauty mode, you can trun it off at setting.

Gallery
- Photo Editor Pro's editing tools have been added to Gallery, so you can make all your edits and touchups without leaving the app.

My Files
- The new storage analysis tool has been added to help you monitor your storage usage and save space.
- You can now show or hide items on the My Files Home screen.

Samsung Health
- Your daily step count will be shown in the notification panel. To hide it, press and hold the notification, then turn off Current steps.

Other improvements and changes
- Call stickers has been discontinued.
- Open Calendar, Samsung Video, Wechat Video, Floating Message, Today News page, Quick Clear widget，Message widget were removed.
- Added Smart Lock APP and Samsung FM.
- Alipay fingerprint need add agian after upgrade.

Here’s what’s new.

Quick Panel
- Manage notifications for each app with notification categories (supported apps only).
- Icons will be shown at the bottom of the notification panel for notifications that aren't currently visible.

Home Screen
- Touch and hold an app to display shortcuts to common or recommended tasks within the app (supported apps only).
- Notification badges on app icons are linked with the notification panel. Clear a notification in one location, and it will also be cleared in the other location.

Samsung Keyboard
- The GIF keyboard lets you send GIFs.
- More high-contrast keyboards are available.

System Performance
- Background services are limited to improve performance and battery life.
- Currently running apps will always be shown in the notification panel.

Lock Screen
- New clock styles for the Lock screen
- Adjust the transparency of notifications to get the look you want.

Other improvements
- In Video, auto-repeat and 2x speed have been added.
- The user settings for Easy mode may be removed on the new OS. You may need to set them again after the OS upgrade.
- The Weather widget version update will remove the Weather widget from the home screen. Drag the Weather widget into the home screen after you update your OS.
- The Baidu search widget is replaced by the Baidu app.
- Added the app icon for Samsung Connect.
- "OperaMax" service will be terminated. "OperaMax" application will no longer be available and will be deleted.
- Your Lock screen theme may be removed after the new OS version. You may need to select the theme again after the upgrade.
